  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 6 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 4 cups 1% milk (or skim)
  • 1 cup low sodium nonfat chicken broth
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or more or less to your liking)
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper (fresh)
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 1 cup reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 5 ounces albacore tuna (cans of, packed in no liquid or in water, drained, and flaked apart)
  • 15 crackers (buttery-type, crushed)
