Not to bad. Had to look up how to zest a lemon and that most lemons have wax on them that have to be removed. Had to look up how to cream butter. Tried to find how long or how cool the crust had to be before pouring the gelatin on top. Could not find it anywhere so went with it being cooled down but still radiating heat, poured the liquid on top, and then put it back in the oven. Everything looked and smelled great except I was unsure since the top looked more like a cake. Once we cut into it the crust was to thick and the lemon wasn’t gelatin at all. So it didn’t turn out like the picture which is a shame because I made this as a substitute for a cake for my husband’s birthday. He loves lemon stuff and it’s just the two of this year. His father past away Oct. of last year and our teenage daughter wanted to spend time with a friend. So this was to be a special treat just for him. Otherwise, if you get past the extra dough, the flavor is good. I wish it would have come out like the picture though. I was excited to make these. I made sure I followed the recipe exactly and looked things up that I wasn’t sure of. Maybe I will try these again another time. Thank you.

Extremely delicious and very lemon-y. Should be more popular than what it is.

These Lemon Bars are excellent! My mom loves lemon and said this bar was better than any bakery item she had ever purchased from the best of bakeries.
