YUM!!! I live in Hawaii and there is 0 Mediterranean places. This was so good! Just couldn’t find a tzaziki sauce. I’ll just have to learn to make my own! Takes a few hours so plan ahead but well worth it!

Really enjoyed this recipe for Gyros. I used dried oregano and I will use fresh next time bc I found the oregano to be a little strong.

I've made this several times..it's as close to "carved from the spit" as you can make...really delicious!! I have even doubled the recipe, cooked, sliced and froze for a quick weeknight meal. For a low carb meal, skip the pita and put all the ingredients in a salad with a tzatziki dressing!

This is an awesome recipe! I made it on a hot summer day for my husband and myself. I tried the recipe with meatloaf mix because I couldn't find ground lamb in my local supermarket. The meat tastes just like a lamb gyro from a Greek restaurant! Also, the brown eyed baker's recipe for tzatziki sauce is delicious as well and pairs perfectly with the crispy meat!
