Description

Step into the Mediterranean and enjoy the mild taste of lamb cooked to perfection. You can serve this as a meal by itself, preparing the whole dish in one pan. Peeling, slicing, chopping, and juilenning are used to prepare the vegetables and be prepared to spend some time (almost two hours) making this delectable dish. Great for an extraordinary occasion.

Ingredients

  • 1 lamb shoulder
  • 1 onions (large, julienned)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 potatoes (kilo, peeled and chopped)
  • 1 lemon
  • ground black pepper
  • salt
  • parsley (minced)
  • bay leaf (chopped)
  • oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius.
  2. Combine the garlic and parsley and add a little oil.
  3. Salt and pepper the meat.
  4. Place the onion and then the lamb into a baking dish. Top with the parsley mixture and sprinkle with the bay leaf.
  5. Pour the wine over the baking dish and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Mix the lemon juice with water and add to the meat while it bakes as necessary so that it remains moist.
  7. Add the potatoes and bake for 45 minutes more.
