Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onions (medium, chopped)
  • 1 cup mushrooms (chopped)
  • 2 tablespoons seasoning salt (Lawry's®)
  • 3 tablespoons McCormick Chili Powder
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper (McCormick®, Ground)
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic (about 3 cloves)
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 cans tomato sauce (15 ounces each)
  • 2 cans kidney beans (15 ounces each, drained)
  • 2 tablespoons light brown sugar

Directions

  1. 1Cook ground beef, onion and mushrooms in large skillet on medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until beef is browned, stirring occasionally. Drain fat.
  2. 2Stir in seasonings and garlic. Cook and stir 1 minute. Stir in remaining ingredients. Bring to boil. Reduce heat to medium-low; simmer 35 to 40 minutes or until slightly thickened.
