Description
This all-purpose sauce is a staple on Mexican tables during meal time. It comes together with just 8 ingredients and requires only 30 minutes to bring together. Make this in the summertime when the tomatoes and peppers are fresh from the garden. Make a double or triple batch and can it so you can enjoy this fresh and flavorful sauce all year round on everything from eggs to tacos.

- 3 tomatoes (small)
- 1 onion (medium, peeled)
- 1 chile pepper (green, chopped)
- 1 pinch sugar
- 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
- 1 Tbsp. vinegar (jalapeño, vinegar that jalapeno peppers have been sitting in)
- salt
- 1 pinch fresh oregano (minced)

Directions
- Boil the tomatoes in water until the skin loosens up and can be removed.
- Set aside 1 tablespoon of minced onion. Liquefy the tomatoes with the remaining onion, pepper, sugar, vinegars, and salt.
- Add oregano and chopped onion on top and serve.
