It turned out good. They don't have the texture of French fries but they still tasted good. They were excellent with mayo or ketchup. This was a great way to use the jicama I had left over

I used the same spices, but decided to try deep frying - bingo! They are very similar to sweet potato fries. Once fried to a crisp golden brown, I mixed spices together, and sprinkled on the just out of the oil fries! They were so addicting, my neighbor and I polished it all off in one sitting!

Made it exactly as indicated. Even after microwaving they were somewhat crunchy, yet not crispy at all - more limp than anything else. Flavor was OK, but not something I would call a french fry. In short, don't make these thinking you're going to get anything close to french fries. But if you put that aside they're not bad on their own merits - I found myself snacking on them while I waited for the rest of dinner to finish, and I didn't feel guilty about it! And if you dunk them in ketchup they are almost indistinguishable from (soggy) fast food french fries (since most fast food places these days you can't taste the potato). Giving them a 3 since I expected something more resembling french fries and it totally failed, yet were decent on a completely different measuring stick.
