Ingredients

  • 2 cups jicama (sliced into cubes)
  • 3 lemons
  • 2 tomatoes (seeded, finely chopped)
  • 1/2 cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons coriander (finely chopped)
  • 3 chili pepper (jalapeño, pickled, chopped)
  • 6 olives (finely chopped)
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • salt (as desired)
  • pepper (as desired)
  • 5 pita bread rounds
  • 1 avocado (sliced)

Directions

  1. Mix every ingredient (except the pita bread) in a bowl and let it sit in the refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Spread the marinade over the pita bread and garnish with avocado slices and serve.

This is delicious and a great blend of flavors! It is very light and refreshing but the best part is that it is simple to throw together! I used one fresh seeded jalapeño in mine and for me it was the perfect amount of heat. I often serve mine in a whole grain tortilla as a wrap.
