I ended with delicious and appreciated results. I slightly modified the recipe to add cinnamon and nutmeg to enhance the flavor. To complete my recipe I added sweet coconut The results where quite appreciated by all. Unfortunately, before I could take a picture, most of them where gone! These where the only one left...

The recipe was super simple and even if I didn’t follow it strictly (I didn’t have time to let the batter sit for 15min, so I did 5min instead), the pancakes came out just as tasty as the Japanese boxed pre-made pancake mix, if not better! Saved me from hungry kids on Sunday morning!!!!!

I really like how SOFT they are! the flavor is really good as well. O only changed one thing. I added 1 Tablespoon of lemon juice. I do this to almost every kind of pancake I make. The lemon juice is a MAJOR helper in certain recipes. Some of the reason is because the lemon juice has acidity. if you put just a little bit in you won't taste the lemon. Now a tablespoon might be too much for some people but it is what I used.

The pancakes tasted good, but the consistency was thicker / more dense than I thought they'd be. The batter is a lot thicker than traditional pancakes. Unfortunately, they were too heavy for my wife to enjoy (who i made them for). A nice recipe, but be aware of tge above before you make them.

I find it amusing that folks complaining admit they used a different product than the one specified in directions. These are authentic little Japanese pancakes--they are delicious---however, you need to use the ingredients called for and follow the directions as written.

I made these and well I believe they turned out well with the ingredients I repacked and didn’t have on hand. I used yogurt instead of sour cream and used a tinfoil egg ring instead of a store bought one.

Just made these and had to throw away the whole batch. The texture was disgusting and it was dry and gritty. Directions were so unclear as to how much to whip the eggs in terms of height, etc, which may have contributed, but I just wasted a ton of good ingredients and time making these. I took one bite and choked for about 5 minutes straight from the crumbs getting lodged.

Yummy pancakes but you definitely need the rings to build them up. I didn’t have the egg rings but they still came out okay just not as pretty. I used caster sugar instead of granulated sugar.
