Ingredients

  • 120 grams butter
  • 120 grams sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 120 grams flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 5 ounces jam

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Add the butter and sugar and mix well.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, and mix well.
  4. Add the flour and baking powder while stirring continuously.
  5. Lightly butter and flour the cake pan.
  6. Pour the batter in the cake pan and level the surface with a spatula.
  7. Add the jam by the spoonfuls, enough to cover the entire surface.
  8. Bake the cake for 25 minutes.
  9. Remove the cake from the pan and turn it onto a cake plate. Sprinkle it with powdered sugar, cut into cubes and serve.

This recipe has now become our go to recipe for desserts. I have made it several times with many types of jams and each one turned out as good as the last one. A real 5 star recipe.
