Italian Style Panini

- 2 tomatoes (vine ripe, whole)
- 1 onions (large, quartered)
- 2 jalapeno chilies (with seeds - whole)
- 4 cloves garlic
- 4 bell pepper (– any color - halved)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
- 2 tablespoons honey
- bread (European style)
- sliced ham (Deli)
- salami (slices)
- 2 tomatoes (– Vine-ripe, sliced)
- cheese
- gruyere cheese
- cheese

- chutney (Roasted pepper)
- butter (for the bread)
Directions
- 1Preheat Oven 350 degrees:
- 2Place the tomatoes, bell peppers, onions and jalapeños on a baking sheet.
- 3Bake 20 -25 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool.
- 4Remove the stem from the jalapeños and quarter the tomatoes.
- 5Place the jalapeños, tomatoes, bell peppers, onions, basil, seasonings, balsamic vinegar and honey in a food processor and give a few good chops; until the desired consistency is reached.
- 6For the Italian Style Panini:
- 7Place salami slices on each slice of bread followed by the chutney, then the tomato, then the cheese, the ham, cheese and finally; put the sandwich together.
- 8Butter each side of the bread.
- 9Place in the panini maker and grill to desired crispness and color.
