Easy Italian beef casserole in a crescent roll crust.


  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup prepared pasta sauce
  • 1 package refrigerated crescent roll dough (8 oz. per package)
  • 1 cup Italian cheese blend (shredded, for casserole)
  • 1/2 cup Italian cheese blend (shredded, for topping)
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil leaves

    1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
    2. Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook beef without oil, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until beef is no longer pink. Drain excess fat, using a metal strainer or slotted spoon, and return beef to skillet.
    3. Add pasta sauce to beef. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat.

    I really liked this! I sauteed garlic and onions first and then added the beef and went from there. I also added a little italian seasoning for extra flavour. My husband and kids liked it too (I know because everyone cleared their plates)! I like how quick and easy it was to make. It says to bake for 20-25 minutes. I baked it for 25 minutes and it came out perfect!

    pretty good. def needs more ingredients. I used the other review's idea of onions and bell peppers. a half of each. but the boy ate it, and he is terribly finicky.
