The batter for this cake is flavored with rich cocoa powder for a strong chocolatey flavor throughout. Poured into individually sized ramekins, the cake batter is then swirled with a bit of Nutella. This recipe provides instructions for cooking in the microwave. Ready in 11 minutes, this dessert is fast and easy to make.

Ingredients

  • 1 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 tablespoons pastry flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Nutella

Directions

  1. 1Beat the egg in a bowl and add the oil.
  2. 2Sift the flour, baking powder, and cocoa together in a separate bowl and add the sugar.
  3. 3Add the egg mixture to the flour and mix together with a fork.
  4. 4Divide the batter between two ramekins and add a tablespoon of Nutella to each. Stir to swirl the Nutella through the batter.
  5. 5Microwave on high for 1 minute. Continue to microwave for 10 seconds at a time, checking often to make sure the mixture doesn’t bubble over the ramekin. Repeat for a total of 1 1/2 or 2 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out almost perfectly clean.
