Salty soy sauce is balanced by the super spicy Tabasco sauce and bitter ginger puree. Cornstarch helps thicken the blended sauce and helps it stick to the shrimp during the cooking process. Ingredients

  • 300 grams sausage meat
  • 300 grams minced meat
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder (hot Indian)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 tablespoons breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2 tablespoons Madras curry
  • 2 teaspoons coriander

Directions

  1. Mix all ingredients together except the bread crumbs and flour.
  2. Put in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Make balls the size of a large walnut and roll them in a mix of breadcrumbs and flour.
  4. Cook them in hot oil.
  5. Set aside.
  6. Cook the rice in salted boiling water.
  7. Chop the onion and garlic.
  8. In a hot pan, add the olive oil and add the onion and garlic.
  9. Brown and then add the Madras curry and coriander.
  10. Add the crushed tomatoes and mix.
  11. Add the sugar
  12. Simmer on low heat.
  13. Add the rice and stir to combine.
  14. Serve the meatballs with the rice.
