Honey-Barbecue Baked Chicken Wings


Sticky sweet Honey-Barbecue chicken wings baked right in the oven.


  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey


  1. 1Preheat the oven to 425° F.
  2. 2Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a roasting rack on top.
  3. 3Cover the roasting rack with another sheet of aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Use a fork to poke holes throughout the surface of the foil.
  4. 4Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  5. 5Season the chicken wings on both sides with salt and black pepper.
  6. 6Place the barbecue sauce and honey in a large mixing bowl. Whisk to thoroughly combine.
  7. 7Place the chicken wings in the mixing bowl. Using a rubber spatula, toss the chicken wings to evenly coat in the honey-barbecue sauce.
  8. 8Arrange the chicken wings onto the foil-covered roasting rack.
  9. 9Spoon any remaining honey-barbecue sauce over the tops of the chicken wings.
  10. 10Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven.
  11. 11Bake the chicken wings for 40-45 minutes, until browned and crispy.
  12. 12Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  13. 13Allow the chicken wings to cool on the roasting rack for 3-4 minutes.
  14. 14Transfer the chicken wings to a plate and serve.
