Sticky sweet honey-BBQ chicken wings baked right at home in your oven.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/3 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425° F.
  2. Line a large baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a roasting rack on top.
  3. Cover the roasting rack with another sheet of aluminum foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Use a fork to poke holes throughout the surface of the foil.
  4. Rinse the chicken wings under cold water and pat dry with paper towels.
  5. Season the chicken wings on both sides with salt and black pepper.
  6. Place the barbecue sauce and honey in a large mixing bowl. Whisk to thoroughly combine.
  7. Place the chicken wings in the mixing bowl. Using a rubber spatula, toss the chicken wings to evenly coat in the honey-barbecue sauce.
  8. Arrange the chicken wings onto the foil-covered roasting rack.
  9. Spoon any remaining honey-barbecue sauce over the tops of the chicken wings.
  10. Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven.
  11. Bake the chicken wings for 40-45 minutes, until browned and crispy.
  12. Remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  13. Allow the chicken wings to cool on the roasting rack for 3-4 minutes.
  14. Transfer the chicken wings to a plate and serve.
