Ingredients

  • 310 grams flour
  • 175 milliliters warm water
  • 20 grams vegetable oil
  • 7 grams yeast
  • 8 grams salt
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions

  1. In a bowl, add flour, water, oil, yeast, salt, and seeds, Mix well and knead for about 15 minutes.
  2. Divide the dough into 12 45-gram portions.
  3. Stretch each ball into a stick, keeping them shorter than the length of the baking tray.
  4. Line the baking tray with parchment paper and put the breadsticks on top.
  5. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius and place a pan containing water inside the oven to produce steam and make the breadsticks golden brown.
  6. Bake for 45 minutes. Allow to cool on a baking rack and serve.

You had me at sunflower seeds....I love breadsticks and adore sunflower seeds so I had to try this dish. I am glad that I did. No more buying breadsticks to serve for dinner as I will be making these instead.
