Description

Coming out of the oven with a fragrant smell, this dessert will win the hearts of children of all ages. After they are baked they are soft and golden, and can be eaten as soon as they are served. These treats can be enjoyed all week, and will never loose their savory taste.

Ingredients

300 grams flour
100 grams almonds
300 grams powdered sugar
300 grams pork lard
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Directions

1Add the flour to a skillet. On a low heat, toast slowly until the flour becomes brown, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and allow the flour to cool.
2Sift the flour into a bowl.
3Grind the almonds in a food processor into powder. Add to another bowl and mix with the sugar.
4Add the flour to the sugar and add the lard and cinnamon. Use an electric mixer and blend until a thick dough forms. Refrigerate for 1 hour so the dough hardens.
5Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius.
6Roll out the dough to 1 1/2- to 2-centimeter thickness. Use a cookie cutter and cut out the cookies. Place the cookies on a parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
7Bake for 20 minutes. Remove the cookies and allow to cool on a baking rack.
