With patience this recipe can be the star at any dinner party. The rolls come out airy and soft, while the sesame seeds add a great texture. The sugar and milk adds a sweet flavor to every bite.

Ingredients

  • 325 milliliters milk
  • 5 tablespoons yeast
  • 3 teaspoons sugar
  • 550 grams bread flour
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 60 grams butter
  • 1 egg
  • sesame seeds

Directions

  1. In a bowl, place the milk, yeast, and sugar. Mix thoroughly and allow it to rest for 15 minutes in a warm place. Add the flour, and salt and knead until the dough is smooth and elastic. Add the softened butter and knead the dough again.
  2. Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and let it rise in a warm place for 2 hours.
  3. Knead the dough once again. Stretch and cut 120-gram portions. Form the dough balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow the dough rest another 30 minutes.
  4. Preheat the oven at 200 degrees Celsius.
  5. Brush the egg on top of the dough balls and sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake for 18 to 20 minutes. Allow the rolls to cool and slice each one in half.

I love this recipe. I try to make as much as I can at home rather than buying items at the store so I was excited to see this recipe. It does take some time to make but the result is worth it. Thank you for sharing!
