  • 1 pound green beans (trimmed)
  • 8 ounces cremini mushrooms
  • 1/2 yellow onion (medium)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • salt (as needed, for blanching)
  • 2 tablespoons salted butter
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 3 tablespoons all purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup chicken broth
  • 1 1/3 cups half and half
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (for vegetables)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 3/4 cup french fried onions

    Directions

    I have never left a review for anyone, but I think this dish definitely deserves a great review I took this dish to pot luck party and it was a huge hit and for sure i will replace the can beans and cream of mushroom with fresh ones
