I Added 1/2 cup wheat germ and 1/2 cup coconut as well as 3/4 cup of dried fruit etc. (raisins, craisins, nuts and seeds). That makes it more like granola and less like a cake bar.

Turned out with more of a cookie taste and texture than granola. Enjoyed the flavor but wanted a granola bar.

I used coconut oil instead of the vegetable oil, and mini chocolate chips in replace of the dried fruit. It turned out perfectly, and chewy! My picky eaters loved them!
