This Turkish recipe is great for any meat lover. Mixed with the dough the tender chicken adds a great texture. Seasoned tomatoes add a colorful element and when added together, every bite has a mouthful of flavor.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams bread flour
  • 275 milliliters water (warm)
  • salt
  • 5 grams fresh yeast
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onions (peeled and chopped)
  • 1/2 zucchini (peeled and chopped)
  • 2 chicken fillets (cooked and chopped)
  • 2 tomatoes (peeled and chopped)
  • ground black pepper
  • curry powder

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 275 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2Mix the flour, water, and 10 grams of salt. Add the yeast just a few minutes before finishing. Knead for 15 minutes by hand.
  3. 3Divide the dough into 80-gram balls. Let them rise for 45 minutes in a bowl covered with a moist rag.
  4. 4Sprinkle some flour on a cutting board.
  5. 5Using a rolling pin, stretch each dough ball until it is 1-1.5 cm thick.
  6. 6Place on a hot baking sheet or baking stone and bake for about 3 minutes.
  7. 7The dough balls will expand and inflate.
  8. 8Remove from the oven and open with a serrated knife.
  9. 9Add the oil to a skillet on low heat. Saute the onion and zucchini for 5 minutes, stirring often.
  10. 10Add the chopped chicken fillet and continue to cook for a few minutes.
  11. 11Add the tomatoes. Season with a pinch of salt, black pepper, and curry powder.
