Description

Baked chicken wings are much easier to make--and healthier--than the original versions, which are deep-fried. To impart flavor and tenderize the meat, chicken wings are usually marinated first; here, the marinade is made with a blend of yogurt, cream cheese, Cognac (or brandy), onion, mixed dried herbs, and other seasonings. For best results, marinate the wings for at least 12 hours, or overnight. That means you can marinate them one night and cook them off the next.

  • 2 tablespoons fat free cream cheese
  • 1 cognac (splash)
  • 1 tablespoon dried herbs (your choice, thyme, oregano, rosemary, parsley, basil, etc.)
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1/2 tablespoon paprika

    Directions

    1. Start by making the marinade. Blend together the yogurt, cream cheese, cognac, herbs, onion, paprika, a pinch of sugar, the salt, and the oil.
    2. Pour this marinade over the chicken wings, coating well, and refrigerate 12 hours.
    3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
    4. Bake the wings for 35-40 minutes.
