Good easy soup. I doubled the recipe because I like having lots of leftovers. I used cannelli beans which are bigger and "meatier" beans. I'll make it again and try some of the suggestions in other comments - Italien sausage would be great in this soup and/or smash or puree some of the beans to give soup a little more body.

Loved the recipe. I prepared my own navy beans ahead of time instead of using canned, diced fresh tomatoes instead of using canned, and used low sodium vegetable broth instead of chicken broth.

Yummy! Nothing beats a simple soup like this one. I didn't use croutons and it still turned out wonderful.

Great soup, I added some grilled Italian Chicken sausage and more tomatoes and 1 Serrano pepper, I like spice. I pureed 1 cup of beans to give it a thicker feel without adding cream.

I added a few more beans -Carlotta beans and chickpeas, some chilli and my boys loved it . I would use it again and serve situational ink o n and garlic bread.

I really enjoyed this recipe. Very easy to make and takes very little time. I added a little white wine to the broth and some Isreali CousCous. I used more broth than suggested and less water. I forgot to add the cheese but it was still delicious. My husband loved this soup!

This is a great soup, I did a few changes, added some Sweet Italian Sausage (cooked) , some chopped carrots, Cannellini beans, a few Chili Flakes, sprinkles a little shredded Parmesan Cheese on top when served, yummy. It is great the next day also.

This is a good quick soup. As long as you use a good flavourful broth ( I used 1 litre and left the water out) and a high quality canned tomato ( I used a 1 litre jar of my own canned in summer) M.B navy beans are just a small white bean, maybe you could find canellini beans or cassoulet beans, or just any bean really.

I just made this soup. It's not a bad, quick soup--that's much healthier than eating soup out of a can. I did switch it up a little bit...I put in 1 large can of diced tomatoes and I added about a 1/2 tsp. of oregano. If you want something quick, this isn't a bad choice.
