  • 400 grams ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • salt and ground black pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • mustard
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • lettuce
  • goat cheese

    Directions

    1. Season the ground beef with paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix in the egg and form into four patties. Cook on medium heat until completely cooked on both sides.
    2. Saute the onion in the olive oil on medium-low heat until it slightly browns (approximately ten minutes). Add the balsamic vinegar and season with salt and pepper. Cook for one minute, remove from heat, and set aside.
    3. Heat the bottom half of the bun in a skillet, spread with mustard to taste and layer with lettuce, the burger, goat cheese, and caramelized onion. Top with the other half of the bun.
