Ingredients

  • 400 grams ground beef
  • 1/2 cup onion (chopped)
  • 1 clove garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons parsley (finely chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 4 cubes manchego cheese
  • 2/3 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese (grated)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. In a bowl, mix the beef, onion, garlic, parsley, paprika, and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Divide into 4 portions. Shape the hamburger patties and in the center add 1 cube of Manchego cheese per portion. Cover with meat from the same patty.
  4. Heat a skillet and cook the patties until golden brown on both sides and cooked on the inside.
  5. Place in a baking dish, pour the tomato sauce, and sprinkle the Mozzarella cheese on top.
  6. Bake for 15 minutes, until the cheese melts.
  7. Remove from the oven and serve warm.

If you're tired of plain old hamburgers, try this amazing recipe. I make this all the time and my family loves it. If your kids are like mine, they usually say "oh no not hamburgers again." Hamburgers are quick and easy and a staple for working moms. This variation allows me to create something simple and easy and have a different flavorful outcome. Use parmesan for the manchego cheese if you cannot find it at your supermarket.
