Description

Give hamburgers a change of pace: Season ground beef (or ground turkey, take your pick) iwith oregano and garlic and bind with an egg and some mustard. Once the burgers have been browned on one side, an egg is cracked into a well in the other side and cooked until the white is set and the yolk is still runny--all the better to serve as a "sauce" for the meat when cut into.

Ingredients

500 grams ground beef (you can substitute a mix of ground chicken and turkey)
3 eggs
1 tablespoon oregano
1 garlic cloves (diced)
bread crumbs
1 tablespoon whole grain mustard
salt
ground black pepper

Directions

1In a bowl, mix together the ground meat, 1 egg, oregano, diced garlic, and handful of bread crumbs, the mustard, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
2Form into 2 balls and mash them on a flat surface to make a hamburger shape.
3With the help of a cookie cutter or glass, cut a circle out of the center of the hamburgers.
4Place the hamburgers on a grill to cook on one side. Once flipped to the other side, fill the holes in the centers with the remaining raw eggs. Lower the heat and cover the hamburgers to help the eggs cook.
