Description

These tasty little pockets are filled with a combination of meat and cheese for a filling and delicious snack. The dough that is used in this recipe is similar to pizza dough, for a chewy and flavorful pocket. These calzone-like snacks are perfect for a kids' party, you could even have each child create their own with a bit of dough and a choice of various toppings. Set out some sauces for dipping once the pockets have baked.

Ingredients

200 grams water
50 grams olive oil
1 teaspoon salt
25 grams bakers yeast (fresh)
400 grams flour
sliced ham
cheese slices
chorizo sausage (slices)
1 egg yolks

Directions

1Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
2Pour the ingredients, in the following order, into the bread making machine: water, olive oil, salt, yeast, and flour. Choose the dough program and set for 15 minutes. Remove from machine, and let rise for 20 minutes.
3On a floured work surface, roll out the dough in rectangles to fill.
4Fill some with cheese and ham, and others with chorizo sausage.
5Fold over 3 equal parts, and place them in a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
6Brush the merendinhas with the beaten egg yolk.
7Bake for about 20 minutes.
