  • 2 1/2 cups coconut flakes (unsweetened)
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • salt
  • 3 large egg whites (extra)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl, combine coconut flakes, condensed milk and salt until everything is well incorporated.
  3. In another bowl, beat egg whites until it stiffens.
  4. Fold egg whites into coconut mixture. In a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, drop about 2 tablespoon of the batter for each macaroon.
  5. Bake in the oven for about 25 minutes or until golden.
  6. Serve macaroons as is or spread guava jelly (or your favorite type of jelly) on the bottom of two macaroons and close them together like a sandwich.
