I added some olive oil, chopped onion, jalapeño pepper and garlic to the ground beef. Started with Cheddar , ended with Cheddar cheese , delicious.

It was good. I used Harvati cheese because Gouda was pretty rich. I will try it again and use the Gouda... it would have made the sandwich a bit more cheesier... Great for something quick after work with vegetable soup.

Turned out great. A nice twist to a classic sandwich. We added some garlic powder to ours for added flavor and changed up the cheeses using American and Provolone.

My sandwiches did not turn out toasted like grilled cheese normally does. However my husband toasted the bread first after to try a different way then added the ground meat and cheese. Then you could bake it in the oven.

This was a substantial yummy sandwich. I wouldn't change a thing. I did have this wonderful French onion seasoned butter. I used it on the outside. It made the toasted part awesome.

Great use for leftover ground beef! It was a good idea and we will be making it again. Good spin on grilled cheese and tomato soup.
