Description

Ready to eat in 35 minutes, this Italian dish is a great appetizer. The paprika brings a spicy element along with a strong flavor. The golden brown color of the dough adds color to the dish and is offset with the green oregano.

Ingredients

  • 1 phyllo dough (sheet)
  • 1 eggs (beaten)
  • paprika
  • dried oregano
  • garlic powder

Directions

  1. 1Preheat the oven to 220 degrees Celsius.
  2. 2Cut the phyllo dough sheet into halves.
  3. 3Cover with the beaten egg.
  4. 4Sprinkle one of the halves with paprika (use spicy paprika for a stronger flavor).
  5. 5Add oregano and garlic powder to the other half.
  6. 6Cut both halves into 1 to 2 centimeter wide strips.
  7. 7Twist the strips and place on a baking sheet.
  8. 8Bake at until golden brown, up to 15 to 20 minutes..
