Ingredients

  • 1 pound cheddar cheese (grated, 4 cups)
  • 16 ounces green chiles (chopped and drained)
  • 1 pound monterey jack cheese (grated, 4 cups)
  • 4 eggs (beaten)
  • 1/4 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup salsa (mild, medium, or hot)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 13 x 9-inch baking pan. Sprinkle grated Cheddar over bottom of pan, top evenly with green chiles and then with Monterey Jack. In a large bowl, beat together the cream, eggs, cornmeal, salt and Worcestershire sauce. Pour over cheese and chiles. Top evenly with salsa. Bake for 40 minutes. Let cool slightly; cut into 1/2-inch squares to serve.
