  • 4 rib eye steaks (1- to 1 1/2-inch thick)
  • 1 cup dry red wine
  • 1 teaspoon dried herbs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons herb seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons cracked black pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground pepper

    Directions

    1. Place steaks in a large food storage bag. Add remaining ingredients. Marinate for 2 to 4 hours, turning occasionally to keep the steaks coated with liquid. Grill over medium coals for 4 to 6 minutes on each side for 1-inch steaks or for about 7 to 9 minutes on each side for 1 1/2-inch steaks, or until done as desired. Use tongs or a spatula (do not pierce) to turn steaks.
