This yogurt based cake is made with no butter, but plenty of chocolate! Ready in an hour, this cake is a simple, yet delectable, option when company is coming.

Ingredients

  • chocolate bar (1 milk)
  • 200 grams flour
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 1 natural yogurt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1.5 deciliters oil
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • margarine (to grease)
  • flour (for dusting)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
  2. Grease a bundt cake pan with margarine, and dust with flour.
  3. Grate the chocolate bar, and set aside.
  4. In a bowl, add the flour, sugar, yogurt, eggs, oil, and baking powder. Beat well until obtaining a homogeneous and very smooth batter.
  5. Add the grated chocolate, and mix with a spoon.
  6. Pour the batter in cake pan, and bake for about 40 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, unmold, and let cool.

If you don't feel like grating a chocolate bar, you should be able to find grated chocolate in a baking supply aisle, or just use little chocolate chips. They work just as well if you have enough to mix through the batter. I've done it both ways and liked both. The cake is moist and you get that warm, gooey chocolate taste in every bite. It helps cure a sweet tooth without being too chocolatey.
