This recipe for Grapefruit, Ginger, and Tonka Bean Infusion is made with fresh grapefruit slices, fresh ginger, honey, and fresh tonka bean for a hot drink that perfectly combines warm and cool flavors. Tonka bean is a species native to Central and South America and can be used much in the same way you would vanilla, with a similar warm flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 grapefruit
  • 1 piece ginger
  • 1 beans (tonka)
  • 800 milliliters water
  • 4 sticks honey

Directions

  1. 1In a small pan, add water and honey, and bring to a boil.
  2. 2Add the grapefruit cut into slices, ginger, and tonka bean, and boil again.
  3. 3If the flavor is too strong, and some more water or honey.
