this was pretty tasty. i also added potaties like many others. i did use bear roast as well wich actually ended up needing to cook about an hour or so more. it turned out well though. slap it over some toast and delicious!

I think I just found the holy grail. I’ve made many different beef stew recipes in the past but never found “the one” up until now — this was simply wonderful. Consistency of the sauce and the flavor were both perfect — I didn’t need to alter the seasoning one bit! I used a Cote de Rhône for the wine and added 5 small Yukon golds (because … potatoes). Next time, I’ll add a turnip too. The Better Than Bouillon is a must!

This was absolutely delicious! I did add a few little potatoes, but other than that stuck to the recipe. I will definitely make this again

perfect! The goulash my husband and i had in Germany had more red wine taste and potatoes. Iwould suggest if you need to thin this dish to do so with a mix of red wine and broth. Ialso added 3 peeled and diced potatoes.
