  • 2 chocolate (sqr unswtnd)
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions

  1. **** Melt chocolate with butter in saucepan over very low heat; stirring constantly until smooth.
  2. Remove from heat.
  3. Mix flour, salt and baking powder.
  4. Beat eggs thoroughly.
  5. Gradually beat in sugar.
  6. Blend in chocolate mixture and vanilla.
  7. Add flour mixture; stir well.
  8. Stir in nuts.
  9. Spread in greased 8" square pan.
  10. Bake at 350 F degrees for 25 minutes (moist chewy brownies) or about 30 minutes (cake like brownies).
