Octopus is no longer a cuisine exclusive to restaurants. This recipe for fried octopus is easily made in a pan in the comfort of your home. Seasoned with fresh lemon and parsley, this octopus will make a showstopping appetizer or side dish.

Ingredients

  • 500 grams pre-cooked octopus
  • 1 onion (medium)
  • parsley (stalks to taste)
  • 4 eggs
  • 300 grams flour
  • 100 milliliters milk
  • 200 milliliters water
  • salt
  • pepper
  • lemon juice
  • oil (to taste)

Directions

  1. Start by cutting the octopus into small pieces.
  2. Reserve.
  3. Mince the onion and sprigs of parsley very well and add the octopus.
  4. In a large bowl beat the eggs.
  5. Then add the milk and beat again.
  6. Continue adding the flour and water alternately.
  7. Beat well until smooth.
  8. Finally add the octopus previously put on standby with the onion and parsley.
  9. Season it with salt and a pinch of pepper.
  10. Let the mixture rest while the oil heats.
  11. The codfish fritters should be fried with spoonfuls into abundant and hot oil.
  12. When they are golden brown, remove and place on absorbent paper.
  13. Serve it with a very sprouty bean rice!
