My boyfriend and I really enjoyed this as a side. In fact my boyfriend said "I guess I like cabbage". I did need to use some broth since my cabbage had been chopped and left in the fridge for a couple days (leftovers from unstuffed cabbage rolls). I used a combo of butter and bacon grease plus I added paprika to the S&P. Will make again.

This is the best comfort food ever, with none of the regrets! I liked the 'al dente' cue, and so saved out some of the uncooked cabbage to add a few minutes into the cooking....and also the suggestion of sweet onions, added at the outset, make the final dish perfect indeed. Also added about 1/3 C. chopped Italian parsley for a fresh note and visual appeal. Great recipe!!
