Soon to be a fall favorite, this salad features fresh figs and grilled halloumi cheese. Vegetarian and gluten free, this fall salad makes a great lunch or dinner option.

Ingredients

rocket leaves
cherry tomatoes
figs (ripe)
radishes
halloumi cheese

Directions

1You will find halloumi in Montreal in Trip de Bouffe, in PA stores, or in Arab grocery stores. This cheese has a semi-soft texture and is a mixture of goat and sheep milk. Used ideally for cooking, it may be grilled in olive oil or fried without melting. It is used in salads and for kebabs.
2Halloumi cheese is salty, so soak in water for an hour to make it sweat a little.
3Then place the argula leaves, cherry tomatoes, sliced radishes, and ​​figs in a bowl. Cut the halloumi in slices and fry in a grill pan for a few minutes. Garnish salad with fried cheese.
