I had never made a homemade pie before but finding a blackberry patch gave me my chance. I took the recipe here from the bettty crocker book ans it was so simple to follow and make. I did substitute blackberries for the apples but oh my did it turn out wonderful. My friend was simply delighted to eat it all and want seconds so give it a try. I will be for sure every year at blackberry time making a blackberry pie at our new home considering the blackberries are at the end of the block. The start of a new tradition to pass on to grandkids.
