French Toast with Apples, Pomegranate, & Greek Yogurt.

Brunch will be a hit with this easy french toast topped with apples, pomegranate, and greek yogurt. Apples are browned in butter and cinnamon for a delicious topping that pairs beautifully with the tartness of pomegranate seeds and greek yogurt. This french toast is made by dipping your bread of choice in a mixture of egg, milk, maple syrup and orange blossom water. Covered in sliced almonds before being cooked to perfection, each slice has a light crunch. Make sure you have maple syrup on hand for an added touch of sweetness and flavor.
Ingredients
- 2 apples
- cinnamon
- butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 cups milk
- 0.33 oz. maple syrup
- 1 Tbsp. orange blossom water
- 1/2 cup almond slivers
- 6 slices bread (stale, or brioche)
- 1 pomegranate
- greek yogurt
Directions
- Cut apples into slices, mix with a pinch cinnamon.
- Brown in butter until golden brown.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, add milk and maple syrup. Mix.
