This indulgent dish is perfect for entertaining. It's richness is courtesy of bechamel sauce, here flavored with ketchup (for extra flavor but also color), and which is what bind together the layers: toasted bread, sauteed chicken and chicken (or turkey) sausages, chorizo, ham, and cheese as the topping. What's great about this recipe, besides all that, is that it calls for heating the assembled dish in the microwave to melt the cheese.
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper.
- Heat oil in a frying pan and cook chicken on both sides until golden.
- Remove from pan and set aside on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb excess grease.
