My go-to recipe for tomato sauce. Works great with my favorite Lasagna recipe.

Amazing! I used slightly over ripe heirloom tomatoes from the garden, and it created a semi sweet undertone to the whole thing.

Tried the recipe for the first time last night and thought it was very good. I used fresh tomatoes instead of canned and instead of using lemon zest, I used a packet of True Lemon - reminded me when I went to Italy years ago. This is one I will keep on my favorites list. :)

I liked it very much. I didnt have a lemon so I added 1/4 tsp of lemon juice and i think next time i will just use 1 tsp of the pepper flakes. otherwise it was very good , simple and fast.

Really easy. Really great. Mushrooms and meatballs are a tasty addition.

Great quick base sauce. I was taught how to make tomato sauce from scratch by my native born Italian home economics teacher so the bar was set quite high. Sauce that spends a whole day on the stove really has a different depth of flavor, but I used Cento San Marzano canned tomatoes, also added some oregano and black pepper and really enjoyed this sauce. I cooked it for maybe 20 minutes while I was finishing up some zucchini noodles and turkey meatballs so I can't vouch for a 5 minute sauce, but we'll be enjoying this sauce all week and I'll definitely make it again if I'm in a time crunch.

Very easy and fast with minimal ingredients. Used the crushed tomatoes with basil, and I'll be serving it with zucchini "meatballs" and pasta.
