Featuring white fish in a rich garlic flavored sauce, this recipe for Fish with Garlic makes a tasty main entree when paired with rice or can be served in soft taco form with your favorite taco toppings. Pairing light and flaky tilapia with a rich sauteed garlic and guajillo chile tomato sauce, this Mexican inspired seafood dish has the perfect balance of flavors. Sprinkle with fresh lime juice and fresh parsley or cilantro and serve.

Ingredients

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (thinly sliced)
  • 2 guajillo chilies (seeded, deveined and sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 6 fish fillets (Tilapia)
  • salt
  • pepper
  • lime juice
  • parsley (chopped)

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil.
  2. Saute the garlic and chili, being careful not to burn them.
  3. Add the tomato puree and stir.
  4. Add the fish fillets. Season with salt and pepper, and add a few drops of lime on top of each fillet.
  5. Once it has cooked on one side, turn over to cook on the other.
  6. Garnish with garlic, chili, and parsley. Serve.
