Make your own seasoned butter to flavor this tasty Fish with Cilantro Butter dish. Combining the fresh flavors of cilantro and lime, this butter has a delicate flavor and makes the perfect spread in which to saute tilapia filets or another variety of white fish. You can also use this cilantro butter as a spread for sandwiches or for other cooking endeavours. Serve this Fish with Cilantro Butter with steamed vegetables or a garden salad.

Ingredients

  • 200 grams unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 1/2 cups cilantro leaves
  • 1 lime
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 4 fish fillets (tilapia)
  • salt
  • pepper

Directions

  1. In a food processor, mix the butter and cilantro leaves until soft and fluffy.
  2. Add the lime juice, salt, and pepper to taste and mix again.
  3. Pour onto a flat surface lined with plastic wrap. Cover the butter with the plastic wrap and shape into a cylinder.
  4. Refrigerate.
  5. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  6. Add the fish fillets, then season with salt and pepper.
  7. Once cooked, turn over to cook on the other side.
  8. Serve with vegetables.

The cilantro butter has such a delicate flavor that it makes all meat taste wonderful. This is a beautiful dish to serve with mango salsa and Spanish rice.
