Description

I baked a loaf out of fish that is loaded with lots of protein and nutrients. It was simple to prepare, easy to put together and delicious. What more could I ask for?

Ingredients

  • 500 grams basa fillet (ground)
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 onion (roughly chopped)
  • 1 carrot (peeled & broken)
  • 1 red bell pepper (/ capsicum, chopped)
  • salt
  • 1/2 cup tomato ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 honey (table spoon)

    Directions

    1. In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, black pepper, chili powder, ,onion, carrot, garlic, red bell pepper / capsicum.
    2. Now combine this vegetable mixture with ground basa fillet and eggs and place in a lightly greased loaf pan, or form into a loaf and place in a lightly greased baking dish.
    3. In a separate bowl, combine tomato ketchup, , hot pepper sauce and honey.
    4. Mix well and pour over the fish loaf.
    5. Bake at 175 degrees C for 1 hour and serve hot.
