Description
These crispy deep-fried spring rolls made with pork and shrimp and seasoned with soy sauce, garlic, and black pepper never fail to fly off a party table. The recipe is a Yummly original.

- 2 lb. ground pork
- 1 lb. shrimp (small)
- 1 cup green onions (chopped)
- 1 can water chestnuts (chopped (8 oz can))
- 1 tsp. soy sauce
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. ground black pepper
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley (minced)
- 1 cup minced onion
- 1 large egg (beaten to blend)
- lumpia wrappers (Simex)
- cooking oil
- 1 large egg whites (lightly beaten)
- sweet and sour sauce (or garlic vinegar sauce)

Directions
- In a mixing bowl combine pork, shrimp, green onions, water chestnuts, soy sauce, garlic, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, parsley, and onions. Add the whole beaten egg and mix well.
- Place 1 to 1 1/2 tablespoons of the mixture diagonally on a lumpia wrapper starting near one corner of the wrapper. Fold the side of the wrapper over the length of the filling. Tuck in both ends and neatly roll. Seal the lumpia using egg white. The egg white will hold the lumpia wrapper together. Repeat until you are out of the mixture.
- Heat the cooking oil in a deep fryer to 350°F.
