It was very flavorful. It was a bit spicy for my children but perfect for my husband and I.

This was delicious! My Mom used to make smothered steak with a ketchup base; so for nostalgia I added a little ketchup which added a little body and sweetness. I also added one sliced jalapeño for extra bite!

This was my second time to make this yummy dish! So much wonderful flavor! I used 1/2 the salt called for; and, also half the onions (and there were still plenty)! I think next time I will simmer the round steak a little longer to make it more tender.

It was really good! I doubled the recipe omitted the cayenne pepper and it was still a little spicy for my child.

Great. Sauce doesn’t cook down as much as recipe shows. Add a little salt.
