Ingredients

  • 6 pita bread (pockets, not the thin kind)
  • 1 pound lean ground beef (I used 95/5 and you could get away with less than a pound)
  • 1 onions (diced)
  • 1 roma tomatoes (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (pressed)
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley (fresh, and coriander mixed together)
  • 1/4 cup green pepper (chopped)
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (add more if you like it spicy!)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons spices (seven, blend of cinnamon, clove, allspice, etc.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper (or Simply Organic Spicy Steak seasoning, optional)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
